On July 7, 2019, Lewis Allen Curl Jr. sailed away. With his daughter, Angela Curl Somoskey and his son, Lewis Allen Curl III by his side. He is also survived by two brothers and two grandchilkdren but was loved by many.
He was born in Washington, DC on March 12, 1956; something he was proud of. In 1973 he heard the call of the seas. He enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and served his country proudly and honorably for six years.
He lived, loved and laughed. So all that knew and loved him say, " Go sail away Lewis, go sail away.
There will be a memorial party July 20th at Comfort Suites on Remount Road in Gastonia from 3 to 7.
